Yolanda J. Mines, MD, is an OB/GYN physician with Prisma Health who specializes in comprehensive women’s care. Originally raised in California, she served in the U.S. Navy before relocating to South Carolina. Dr. Mines earned both her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia and completed her internship and residency at Prisma Health Richland Hospital. She is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Mines provides full-spectrum obstetric and gynecologic care, including both routine and complex conditions. Her clinical interests include the management of uterine fibroids with both surgical and non-surgical treatment options, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and endometriosis using individualized medical and surgical approaches. She also treats menstrual cycle abnormalities and offers comprehensive care for perimenopause and menopause, including both hormonal and non-hormonal therapies. In addition, she performs minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and emphasizes preventive health through well-woman care. Dr. Mines is committed to delivering patient-centered care that empowers women through education, shared decision-making, and personalized treatment plans. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
